Lower School

Stephanie BaileyAs an elementary educator, it is amazing to see the transformation that occurs in our students as they begin their educational journey as timid Pre-K friends until, as confident fifth graders, they transition into the world of upper school.  Such a transformation would not be possible without a  partnership of dedicated parents and teachers. As a result of this concerted effort, families support their child's growth and development through school involvement and implementing effective parenting skills.

Ben Lippen lower school students are introduced to the love of learning that is modeled by their teachers. The instruction received by all our lower school students is both academically challenging and developmentally appropriate while building on concepts and skills learned in prior grades.  Authentic experiences such as field trips, international studies, and service projects, afford our students the opportunities to make real life connections with the concepts being taught inside the classroom. We intentionally implement instruction that ensures that our students acquire the knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for critical thinking and practical application for the next grade level and beyond.

Most importantly, Ben Lippen Lower School provides a safe learning community where students come to know who Jesus Christ is and how to follow in His footsteps. Students are taught that they are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14) and designed with a specific plan for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11). At Ben Lippen School, we consider it a privilege to not only prepare our students for college but prepare our students for their calling in life.

Thank you for the opportunity to share about our lower school. I would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have regarding our program. Please feel free to contact me at either the St. Andrews Road or Monticello Road campus.
