While Ben Lippen provides many of the same services as other school guidance departments, our distinctive is to provide a service that explores the God-given talents of our students, guiding them to be good stewards of these talents. We encourage our students to seek after God's desire for them academically and personally in career assessment and stewardship.

The guidance counselor is accessible throughout the day for all high school students. She works closely with faculty and staff to ensure all students are placed in college preparatory, honors and/or advanced placement courses that are suitable for each individual student.

The guidance counselor is also available by appointment to confer with students, teachers and parents regarding any student concerns. The guidance department provides orientation for incoming high school students and parents, course selection assistance, academic record keeping, standardized testing and college planning. In addition, the guidance department provides resources and services for students and parents to assist in college and career choices.
