High School Update: Parent Night and Winterim Information 8.26.22
Dear High School Parents and Students,
After a great time at Camp Ben Lippen, this week has been a slight adjustment for the students with our first full week of classes. The students have adjusted with ease returning to our school schedule and establishing routines that they will follow throughout the rest of this year. This week also allowed us to return to Shortess Chapel for our very first chapel of the school year with a message from Dr. Fajardo, our Head of School.
As we are getting fully settled in, I wanted to send out a few reminders and updates.
- This coming Tuesday (August 31) we will be hosting the High School Parent Night from 6:00 – 8:10 PM. Parent Night will begin in the gym with a brief assembly. Then parents will be released to follow their student’s academic schedules and hear from their teachers. Before Parent Night, we will be hosting a Winterim Fair from 5:00 – 5:45 PM in the gym for parents to meet Winterim advisors and learn more about this year’s Winterim opportunities. Acorn Coffee will be open throughout the night for parents to purchase a coffee, shake, or smoothie.
- Speaking of Winterims, please find linked below updated information about Winterims and the choices we will be offering. The Winterim Fair this coming Tuesday will be an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the overall Winterim Program or specific Winterim choices. Winterim sign-ups will be the week of September 6th. Seniors will sign-up on Tuesday, September 6th, Juniors on Wednesday, September 7th, Sophomores on Thursday, September 8th, and Freshmen on Friday, September 9th. We will announce Winterim placement the following week.
