Dear Falcon Community,

It is with a mixture of gratitude and heartfelt emotion that I write to inform you that this will be my final year as the Headmaster of Ben Lippen School, effective June 30, 2025. After eight incredible years at Ben Lippen School—our "Mountain of Trust"—the decision to step away has been one of the most challenging and prayerfully considered choices for both Becky and me.

Reflecting on our journey, I am reminded of the words from Psalm 86 verses 10-13:

"For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me…"

Our family is immensely proud to have been part of the Columbia International University and Ben Lippen School communities for nearly a decade. A time filled with growth, learning, deep connections, and amazing relationships. Ben Lippen became more than a workplace; it became a second home for our family. God led us here, and we leave with hearts full of gratitude for the specific purpose He had in bringing our paths together.

I am thankful for the steadfast support of CIU during my tenure. Their guidance, partnership, and belief in Ben Lippen School’s mission have been foundational to the progress we’ve made together. CIU's commitment to excellence has allowed us to thrive, and I deeply appreciate their unwavering dedication to the shared vision of Christ-centered education.

Witnessing the growth of students—socially, academically, physically, and spiritually—has been a profound joy. The support and care from friends, grandparents, community leaders, pastors, loyal parents, and dedicated alumni have been a cornerstone of our experience. To my esteemed colleagues on the faculty and staff, your devotion and unwavering commitment to “EXCELLENCE” and the mission of Ben Lippen has been inspiring.

To the current students and parents, I extend my prayers for God's continued blessings as you navigate His vision for your lives. To my own family (Becky, Corey, Tyler, and Connor), thank you for standing by me throughout this incredible journey. I am not only grateful but immensely proud to have shared these years with each of you.

A special acknowledgment goes to Renee Brooks, Jason Blackwell, Dr . Neal Burkhalter, the school board, and the entire Ben Lippen leadership team. Your courageous leadership and unwavering confidence during my tenure have been instrumental in accomplishing God’s work. I depart with the firm belief that Ben Lippen School is in capable hands, and its best days are undoubtedly ahead.

Our family will continue to hold Ben Lippen in our prayers, cherishing the memories and the special community that has been an integral part of our lives. May God's blessings continue to abound upon Ben Lippen School.
