Jesus Intercedes for You
I’m not a “Life Verse” person. I don’t begrudge them, I’m just so broken that I need them all. That’s not hyperbole or humor, it is proven fact. I need all of Scripture to keep me, comfort me, and guide me.
Yet, Romans 8:34 is a verse that I recite almost every single day. It is stabilizing. Whatever else happens, whatever seems true or untrue, I base reality on the facts of this verse. Jesus died. Jesus rose. Jesus is at the right hand of God. Jesus is interceding for me. All my hope is there in a single verse, Romans 8:34.
“Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died, more than that, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for you.” - Romans 8:34
At this very moment, as you read this, Jesus our Savior is interceding for you. Incredible! In any uncertainty or unsettledness we encounter this week, may you find certainty in Jesus, in His death instead of you, in His resurrection of you, in His divinity that dwells within you, and in His intercession for you. May our family, colleagues, and neighbors hear us face the frustrations, surprises, and trials of the week with confidence in all that Jesus is for us. He has given us all the certainty we need to have a great week!
