Ben Lippen 2025 Teacher of the Year: Kim Cox
Please join us in celebrating Kim Cox, our Ben Lippen Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Cox exemplifies excellence in education through her tireless dedication, innovative instruction, and unwavering commitment to student success. As the advisor for the yearbook, she oversees a team of over 20 students each year, skillfully guiding them to capture the spirit of our school through photos and storytelling. Beyond her leadership in student activities, Mrs. Cox has been instrumental in shaping our English curriculum—developing seminar-style courses that offer both rigor and choice for all learners, including high-achieving students in AP Language and AP Literature.
Mrs. Cox's vision and advocacy recently brought AP Seminar to our campus, expanding academic opportunities and positioning our students to earn the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma—an achievement highly regarded on college applications. As a department head, she has cultivated a cohesive, forward-thinking English team and has mentored every new teacher over the past several years. Her peers consistently look to her for professional development on engagement strategies, and with good reason: our students’ consistent performance—scoring above 85% on national assessments—is a direct reflection of her impact.
Kim Cox is not only a master teacher—she is a leader, a builder, and a force for excellence across our campus.
