Meet Mary Horne

Job Title at Ben Lippen: Middle School Bible Teacher 

Education: BA in Biblical & Theological Studies and History from Erskine College; MA in Bible Teaching from Columbia International University

Family Details: I have been married to my husband, Jonathan, for 2 years and we met at Erskine. 

Share your teaching/subject area experience with us: I taught all levels of middle and high school history for a year at a small private Christian school in the upstate of South Carolina after graduating from undergrad and getting married. I took a break from teaching for a year to earn my Master's degree in Bible Teaching from CIU and I am excited to teach 6th grade Bible at Ben Lippen. I actually did my student teaching in 8th grade Bible at Ben Lippen.

Most called upon Scripture: Psalm 34:5 - "Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed."

Fun Facts: 1) I started a baking business in college and still run it out of my kitchen today. 2) I worked for The Museum of the Bible for a summer while in college. 3) I love to write!
