Family Details: I'm married to Blake; he's the Senior Pastor at Spring Valley Baptist Church. I have two awesome boys, Thomas and Will.

Share your teaching/subject area experience with us: I love teaching ELA! I taught 6th grade ELA for four years, 7th grade ELA for two years, and high school English for two years — all at private Christian schools around the Southeast. I truly can't pick a favorite aspect of ELA. Writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary... they're all my favorites. I've also taught Photography and love finding opportunities to be creative.

Most called upon Scripture: Anything from Romans 8! It's my favorite passage in the Bible.

Fun Facts: I love to write when I can. I'm so grateful to get to write for Columbia Metropolitan magazine, the Legacy Group, and other organizations.
