One of the things my family and I hold close to our hearts about the Ben Lippen community is how we come together in the name of Jesus to cover those in need in prayer. In September 2021, this community, extended its arms around our family as we navigated a life-changing medical diagnosis. Our daughter felt the prayers of this community and my husband and I watched Paul's words in Philippians come to life here in a way that glorified God immensely.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT)

I have had the privilege to experience this prayer at work in my personal life and now we come together to seek the Lord's selection of our next Head of School. 

Please join us in community-wide prayer as we ask the Lord to bring our next Head of School to Ben Lippen. Our first week of prayers are for:

• Our leader to be a servant leader who walks in a manner worthy of Christ.
• Our leader to be an evangelical who follows God’s guidance in his or her leadership and submits to the authority of Scripture. 
• Our leader to be the protector of the Ben Lippen mission and vision. To lead with a clear, concise vision that pursues excellence while exhibiting the patience to maintain and manage growth wisely. 

As one of my favorite verses in the song “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)”:

Christ is my firm foundation, 

The Rock on which I stand,

When everything around me is shaking,

I’ve never been more glad, 

That I put my faith in Jesus. 

The rain may come, precious community, and the wind may blow, but our house is built on a firm foundation.
