January 15 – 20
Although there is a rich evangelical history in this region, less than 3% of people attend an Evangelical church. Additionally, there are over 1,000 communities that have no evangelical presence at all. Needless to say, New England is in need of the gospel as much as any place on Earth. After spending time in Boston, we will take the train up to the state of Maine and will team up with the Southern Baptist Convention’s “Multiply Maine” effort. The outreach will include street evangelism, nursing home visitation, prayer-walking, and community-building. Although students will be asked to brave the cold New England winter, students will have the chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience ministering to a section of America very different from their own. The trip will be a chance to see how other Americans live, visit some iconic historical landmarks, and be part of a gospel movement through evangelism and prayer.
