How do our neighbors to the North not go crazy in the winter months? Come join us in the capital city of Ottawa and find out. Our friends do not stay inside but get out and enjoy the snow. There is skiing in Quebec, fat biking along trails by the river, and ice skating the Rideau Canal. To warm up there is curling at the historic Ottawa club and indoor rock climbing in Hull. If the Senators are playing a home game, we will enjoy our time cheering their most popular sport…hockey. We’ll even see a junior hockey club game to see the game close up. It is the capital so visiting the government buildings of Parliament, the Supreme Court of Canada and the National Mint will show us how this nation runs smoothly even in the cold. We will serve the homeless by helping out in a soup kitchen or some other project. We’ll shop in the Byward Market and the Rideau Centre and be sure to eat poutine, beaver tails and…Tim Hortons. *mic drop.
