January 18 – January 21
Dr. Barker & Ms. Gonzalez
Are you “wild” about wild animals? Would you love to spend some time learning about animal behavior and how zookeepers track their behavior? You’ll get to track an animal of your choice and learn how to record its behavior. We’ll also get to go behind the scenes of some of the animals’ habitats for an up-close peek into their world! One afternoon will be spent in the Gardens area learning a little about plants and then creating our own potted plants to bring home. We’ll help out the zookeepers by designing and creating an enrichment activity for several animals and then watch them interact with our creations after placing them in the habitat. We’ll enjoy our lunches at the zoo restaurants. Come to the zoo with us for a wild week!
Service component: Clean up at the zoo
