Ben Lippen Named National Blue Ribbon School
Ben Lippen Lower School has been named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School by U.S. Secretary of Education, Dr. Miguel Cardona. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes 353 schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2023. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups on assessments.
The school was nominated in the category of Exemplary High Performing School. This award is given when student achievement in English and Mathematics is among the highest in the country (top 15%), measured by state assessments or nationally normed tests.
Kelli Larsen, Lower School Principal, says Ben Lippen is honored to be recognized nationally for academic excellence. “Ben Lippen aims to achieve a high standard of excellence in an environment where students can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically,” Larsen said. “This award reflects the dedication of our faculty and staff, the support of our families, and the determination of our students. We praise God for His faithfulness and the many ways He continues to bless Ben Lippen School."
Ben Lippen School Headmaster Dr. Tony Fajardo also noted the commitment of Ben Lippen’s faculty and staff to serving students with excellence in all areas, but especially academics. “We want our students to dream big, and push toward the accomplishments of those dreams,” Fajardo said. “We are grateful to serve a community that values both academic excellence and strong Christian values.”
