– Coach Bryan Jones: Coach Jones is the Varsity Head Coach for the Ben Lippen Falcons Softball Team. He grew up playing baseball and rose through the ranks from tee-ball to high school and American Legion ball to college as a catcher. He is a graduate of Wofford College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He has coached through Irmo Little League for the past seven years and has helped lead their All-Star Softball Teams to a couple of state titles. He has managed a 16U tournament softball team for the past five years. He served as an Assistant Coach and then Head Coach with the Ben Lippen Middle School Baseball Team for three years before moving to the softball program. He served as the Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach for two years and is in his second year with the Varsity team.

Coach Reid has coached and developed numerous award-winning players which include two All-Americans, three Freshman of the Year, one Defensive Player of the Year, and one SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

He grew up playing baseball and rose through the ranks from tee-ball to high school and American Legion ball to college as a catcher. He is a graduate of Wofford College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He has coached through Irmo Little League for the past seven years and has helped lead their All-Star Softball Teams to a couple of state titles. He has managed a 16U tournament softball team for the past five years. He served as an Assistant Coach and then Head Coach with the Ben Lippen Middle School Baseball Team for three years before moving to the softball program. He served as the Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach for two years and is in his second year with the Varsity team.

She graduated from TC Roberson High School where she is currently the all-time leader in points in school history. – Coach Whitaker has over 25 years of soccer coaching and playing experience: Coach Whitaker has coached over 10 years at the college level. He started the CIU soccer program in 2011, building the program from its inception. Prior to coaching at CIU, he won two NCCAA National Championships and two NSCAA National Coach of the Year honors while coaching college soccer in Florida. Prior to coaching in college, Coach Whitaker coached high school soccer for 10 years at a private school in Greenville, SC where he won eight state championships in 10 years.

Staff information:
– Coach Cory has five years of cheerleading coaching experience. She spent four years in middle school as the program director and one year at Ben Lippen where she was the Falcons Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach.
Prior to coming to Ben Lippen, Coach Cory spent four years at Meadow Glen Middle School where she served as the Head coach and Program Director. At Meadow Glen, she coached the first-ever competitive team. During the following three years, she led her team in winning seasons. The team came in second place at Debbie Rogers Cheer Classic – the biggest competition in the state three years in a row! Upon coming to Ben Lippen as an assistant coach this past year, she was able to work alongside Head Coach, Ellen Jennings and went on to win a State Championship!
Coach Cory graduated from The University of South Carolina with a degree in biology and a Master’s degree in teaching. While at Carolina, Coach Cory was a member of the cheerleading team having received an athletic scholarship. Coach Cory was awarded All-American honors during two of her years at Carolina. She was also a part of the co-ed team in 2011 that placed 4th at College Nationals and the all-girl team that placed 3rd in 2012.

Seniors will sign-up on Tuesday, September 6, Juniors on Wednesday, September 7, Sophomores on Thursday, September 8, and Freshmen on Friday, September 9.
