Mr. Uhlman encourages students to set their hope in the only place where true hope is found by teaching from Colossians 3:1-3.
Family Discussion Questions (from Mr. Uhlman):
- Mr. Uhlman said the time of seclusion has taught him more about what it means to find hope and strength in Christ. What has the Lord been teaching you during this time? What are the ways your family has responded to this pandemic?
- In Colossians 3:2, Paul tells us to “Set your minds on things that above.” What does this look like on a practical day-to-day basis? What types of habits or practices move our hearts in this direction?
- How is the truth that Jesus has complete authority over this world so fundamental to our walk as Christians? How might it change the way you view our current situation?
- Towards the end of chapel, Mr. Uhlman gave an illustration from Pilgrim’s Progress of the burden falling off Christian’s back. What burdens are you carrying that you wish would fall off? How does the truth that these burdens will eventually fall off encourage you?
