Are you a rising junior or senior who has a love for the Fine Arts?  If so, applications are now being accepted for the Claudia Walker McCain Fine Arts Scholarship. This scholarship is offered in remembrance of Claudia Walker McCain, who was known for her countless hours as director of the middle school theater program at Ben Lippen School. It is intended to continue her legacy in the pursuit of the Fine Arts at Ben Lippen for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom.

Applicants must submit a 300-word essay demonstrating their personal relationship with Christ and proficiency and/or love of Fine Arts, and how they use their gift to glorify God. Essays must be submitted to Mr. Taylor Nelson, Fine Arts Director, by April 1 in a sealed envelope marked “Claudia Walker McCain Scholarship,” or electronically to taylor.nelson@benlippen.com.

Two recommendation letters are required. One recommendation letter must be from the student’s pastor or youth director.  If requested, the applicant should be willing to participate in a brief interview.  Occasionally, the $3,000 award is split and given to no more than three qualified individuals. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Nelson.
