Parents, please help your middle school students manage their time for their performance schedule. There will be adult chaperones in the cafeteria and LGI helping them line up once they arrive at their meeting location.

• Report to the LGI at 5:50
• Perform in the teardrop 6:08-6:11
• Drop off instruments to LGI after performing, then dismissed to parents

5th & 6th Orchestra

• Report to the LGI at 6:00
• Perform in the teardrop 6:19 - 6:21
• Drop off instruments to LGI after performing, then dismissed to parents

5th & 6th Choir

• Report to the trees on the hill (in front of ASC) at 6:35 (stay in place for the story)
• Sing in worship 6:55 - 7:00
• Perform on the hill 7:00
• Dismiss from the hill to parents

7th & 8th Band

• Report to the LGI at 6:10
• Perform in the teardrop 6:28-6:30
• Drop off instruments to LGI after performing, then dismissed to parents

7th & 8th Orchestra

• Report to the LGI at 6:30
• Move into chairs in teardrop at 6:35 (stay in place for the Nativity story)
• Play for worship 6:55 - 7:00
• Perform in the teardrop 7:10 - 7:14
• Drop off instruments to LGI after performing, then dismissed to parents

7th & 8th Choir

• Report to the trees on the hill (in front of ASC) at 6:35 (stay in place for the story)

Beginning Guitar A & B

All vocal performances are on the grassy hill in front of the Arts and Science Center (main office building). All instrumental performances are in the teardrop. Performances will be viewable from the Senior Parking Lot. We will have very limited seating for those who have difficulty standing. There will be a sound system and large screens projecting the performance.

COMMUNITY WORSHIP:

Everyone will gather at 6:40 for a time of community worship. Families should make their way to the performance area when the Blue Grass band begins playing. See specific details above for where middle school fine arts students will be during this time. If they are not helping to lead worship, they will be with family or friends.

CP Choir

Honors Choir

• Report to the sidewalk in front of the gym at 6:35 and stay in place for the Nativity story

Advanced Guitar

See specific details above for where high school fine arts students will be during this time. Guitar students will be with friends and family for the worship time.

Fine Arts performing students are asked to wear a warm Christmas-themed sweater or festive top. Hats and fun Christmas accessories are encouraged. Jeans and khakis are permitted.

All of us can join the fun by dressing for the season. A Ben Lippen Christmas t-shirts and hoodies are, of course, welcome! We recommend you dress in layers. Most activities are outside. The Fine Arts art show and special Christmas movies and stories are inside.

A Ben Lippen Christmas t-shirts and hoodies are approved campus wear for Thursday, Dec. 5th.

Parking will be available in the BLS gold lot and CIU lots A-F (Jones Center, Alumni Center, and behind the middle school and CIU gym). There will signs and parking attendants to help you find parking. We will also have shuttle stations to shuttle participants from parking to the entrance of the event.

There will be limited handicap parking in the BLS upper green lot. 

Parking will not be available in the BLS senior, lower green, and Lower School lots. These lots are reserved for the event itself.

Yes! We'll have six food trucks. You can purchase a variety of options for dinner to make it easy to bring the family for the evening. Your options will be:

• Pizza for Pyros
• Kaselehlie Express Hibachi
• Belgian Waffle
• Donut Guy

Acorn Coffee will be open for specialty coffees.

There will also be hot chocolate and coffee stations scattered throughout the event.

There will be lots of activities to choose from! 

• Fine Arts performances and art show
• Classic Christmas short movies and a reading of a story
• Ice skating (parents will be requested to sign a waiver)
• Games: reindeer races, snowman bowling, candy cane limbo, and more!
• Bounce houses
• Craft stations
• Cookie decorating
• Hot chocolate

And a very special community-wide worship gathering with Scripture reading, nativity tree, community carol, and fireworks.

Ben Lippen's connection to the Asheville area is a treasured part of our school's heritage. You are invited to join Middle School's Books and Boardgames collection for families still affected by Hurricane Helene in the Asheville area. Drop off a new, unwrapped book or boardgame at your campus by December 13, or drop it off at the welcome table at A Ben Lippen Christmas.

Ben Lippen parents are the best around because they stay informed, get involved, and support the mission. You can do all three to help make this event one that becomes a cherished family tradition.

Get involved: We need nearly 200 volunteers to host this event. There are pre-event volunteer slots as well as 30-minute shifts to assist the night of.  Serving together can be lots of fun. Volunteer here.
