Groundbreaking for Arts and Science Center

November 1, 2018 Ben Lippen News, Fine Arts

On Monday, Ben Lippen officially broke ground on our new Arts and Science Center! The 13,000 square foot expansion will provide students with eight new innovative and inspiring classrooms featuring specialized space for Chemistry, Robotics, Engineering, and Visual Arts, and will incorporate unique features such as a prayer alcove, teacher amenities, and an art gallery. The expansion is part of a larger capital campaign goal of $5.5 million and represents the first step in a long-term plan to inspire the day-to-day learning experience. To date $3.6 million in leadership pledges and gifts have been made.

At the groundbreaking, Headmaster Tony Fajardo said, “This dream that’s going to become a reality is going to give us the chance to expand our classrooms. In combination with the new business and I.T. center, it gives us the opportunity to reach the hearts and the minds of over 100 new students.” The plan is to finish the facility by mid-July so that it will be available for the new school year in August.
