High School: Exam Week Reminders

December 10, 2021 Upper School News

Dear High School Parents and Students,

I hope this finds you enjoying the Christmas season and spending time with family & friends. As we wind down the first semester, I have a few reminders:

  • Next week will be a Jeans Week for all students. With the Christmas season, we want to encourage students to wear festive shirts/Christmas colors with their jeans (if not, they can wear jeans and a Ben Lippen shirt; please remember that neither leggings nor pajamas may be worn in place of jeans).
  • High School Exams: Exams will be Wednesday, December 15 through Friday, December 17. Those days are half days (noon dismissal) for all Ben Lippen students. Students will have a 30-minute break between exams. The exams are scheduled as follows:
    • Wednesday, December 15 – English and Math
    • Thursday, December 16 – Science and History
    • Friday, December 17 – World Languages and Bible
  • Starting this year, all students in grades 9-12 can be exempt from semester exams (except for AP and Dual Enrollment courses) if they have a combined 1st and 2nd quarter average of 90 or above. Please find attached the Exam Exemption form that students need to have signed and returned if they will be exempting or not needing to be at Ben Lippen during a specific exam time.
  • The High School Christmas Social will be held on Saturday, December 18th at Oakbrook Farm in Ridgeway, SC for those who have purchased tickets. The event will start at 6:00 pm and go until 9:00 pm.
  • Final Winterim payments are due by December 15.

Have a wonderful weekend! Go Falcons!

In Him,

Max Russell
High School Principal
