High School Update: Last Minute Reminders 8.9.22

August 9, 2022 Ben Lippen News, Upper School News

Dear High School Parents and Students,

It was refreshing to see so many students this morning at New Student Orientation and Open Campus!  I have been praying over this school year and seeing so many students’ faces today filled me with so much joy about everything we will be able to experience together this year.

With tomorrow being the first day I just wanted to send out a few last-minute updates/reminders:

  • First Day of School – Please find attached the bell schedule for the first day of school tomorrow.  We will begin the day at 8:10 AM and the last class will end at 11:55.  As you can see on the attached schedule, we will be going through A-Day classes and B-Day classes tomorrow, with a Welcome Back assembly in between.  After tomorrow, Thursday will be an A-Day and Friday will be a B-Day.
  • Chromebooks – All students will be able to pick up their Chromebooks in the gym tomorrow when they arrive at school.  Mr. Alexander will be in the gym starting at 7:30 AM to hand out Chromebooks and get you all the login information for the device.  If you are able to, try to pick up the Chromebook before classes start.  However, if you are unable to, Mr. Alexander will be in there after school until 1:00 PM as well.
  • Camp Ben Lippen – Just a reminder that all High School students, faculty, and staff will be traveling to Camp Ben Lippen at Carolina Point on Monday.  We will be loading buses and pulling out at 7:30 AM that morning.  Please get the Carolina Point Waiver and Camp Ben Lippen Medication Form (if needed) signed and returned to Mrs. Lambert by Friday.  The camp nurse will be here to meet with families who need to talk to her on Friday from 2 PM-4 PM by Mrs. Lambert’s desk.

I am excited about this school year.  Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your child.  Please be praying for our school year and that the Lord’s presence is felt throughout this year.  Go Falcons!

In Him,

Max Russell
