High School Update: School Pictures and See You at the Pole Information

September 18, 2021 Upper School News

Dear High School Parents and Students,

As many of you are aware, we recognized Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month this week and held a schoolwide drive for the children and families at the Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. Throughout the week, students brought in donations of poppers and gift cards. The High School showed up for this drive! In total, the High School brought in over 200 poppers and $1600 of gift cards to Tropical Smoothie and Subway. As a reward for all that we raised, all high schoolers have been given a Jeans Day on Monday (September 20). Seniors won the class competition for the most poppers and gift cards donated.

The High School picture day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29, for 9-11th graders. This year we are going with a new company, Lifetouch, for school pictures. Students received picture forms for school pictures on Friday. The forms explain the packages that are available and how to order. You can pay in advance by filling out the form and bringing it to picture day or you can order online. I am also attaching a flyer with the online ordering information to this email to have handy. Seniors will have a separate photo shoot for senior portraits that same week and the seniors will be given their picture day and time next week.

Finally, next Wednesday (September 22) we will be joining students across the world for See You at the Pole. The Middle and High School will gather around the flagpole by the track beginning at 7:30 a.m., with prayer beginning at 7:40 a.m. The prayer time is optional for students who would like to participate. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the High School Office (Gina.Dickinson@BenLippen.com).

Go Falcons!

In Him,

Max Russell
High School Principal
