London Fine Arts Study Tour 2020

Are you interested in giving your child the opportunity to learn outside the walls of a classroom?  Ben Lippen’s Fine Arts Department is leading a study tour in May/June of 2020 in order to do just that!  Students may opt to earn high school or dual-enrollment college credit through CIU. Please see the details of the trip below and feel free to contact Mrs. Jennifer Pilpe or Mr. Joey Caldwell with any questions. If you are interested in having your student participate in this tour, please let us know as soon as possible. The final commitment date is Friday, October 11.  We look forward to sharing the world of the Arts with your student in the UK next spring!

Fine Arts Credit (1 full credit = 120 contact hours)

  • Pre-trip instruction
  • Post-trip portfolio

Option for Dual Enrollment credit or High School credit

Logistics of the tour:

  • Tentative Dates: May 23 – June 3, 2020
  • 10 days on the ground | 2 days travel
  • Cost $4000
  • All-inclusive: Airfare, Lodgings, Food, Entrance Fees, Performance Tickets, and Transportation

Commitment – Due by Friday, October 11, 2019

Pay Schedule (through FACTS):

  • $1,000 due by Friday, October 11, 2019
  • Second installment due by Friday, December 13, 2019
  • Third installment due by Friday, March 13, 2020
  • Remaining balance due by Friday, May 1, 2020

  • Performing Arts (Globe Theatre, West End, National Theatre)
  • Visual Arts (British Museum, National Gallery, Ashmolean, Crown Jewels, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abby)
  • Music (St. Paul’s and Westminster Abbey, Royal Albert Hall, London Symphony Orchestra, Oxford)
  • Film/Television (Buckingham Palace, Windsor, Highclere Castle, WB Studios)


  • One Year in a fine art since 9th grade in good standing (behavior/grade)
  • 2 Teacher recommendations
    • 1 from a Fine Art teacher
    • 1 from a teacher of your choice
