Lower School NE Campus Update – 8.23.22

August 25, 2022 Lower School News

Dear Parents,

We are so grateful for the start of our second full week of school. The students are beginning to settle into their classroom routines and are learning the classroom rules and expectations.

Here are a few reminders for this week:

  1. Independence Day: Hip, Hip, Hooray! It’s Independence Day! Beginning Monday, August 29th, all students will walk to class independently! This builds responsibility and allows the teachers and students to begin the day smoothly. Parents/guardians who walk their child into the school building will say goodbye at the lobby door. Students are invited to wear red, white, and blue on August 29th to celebrate Independence Day.
  2. Falcon Feast: September order forms are coming home in today’s Tuesday folders. Order forms are due next Wednesday, August 31st. Please include payment with your order form. Due to advanced ordering/payment, no refunds will be issued.
  3. MAP testing: MAP testing will take place the week of August 29th for 1st and 2nd grades. Kindergarten students will be tested later in the year. More information will be shared by your child’s teacher.
  4. PTF Fundraiser: Parent Teacher Fellowship provides snacks for our teachers to show our appreciation for all that they do for our students and families, and we would love your help! Please use the link below to sign up to contribute:!/showSignUp/4090f4ca5a923aafc1-snacks

PTF is selling football jerseys and cheerleading uniforms for spirit wear for our students. Show your school spirit by purchasing through the online shop linked below:

  1.  Handbook Forms: If you have not already returned your signed lower school handbook commitment form, please do so as soon as possible. A copy linked below is included for your convenience.
  2. Afterschool Clubs: Clubs will begin in September. Please see the flyers that were included in last week’s Tuesday folders for registration information.
  3. Clothes Closet Volunteers Needed: If you are interested in helping with the campus clothes closet, please click on the following link to sign up to volunteer.  You will receive 3 free articles of clothing each time you volunteer.
