Middle School: Information Regarding the Start of School

August 7, 2019 Upper School News

Dear Middle School Parents and Students,

Good afternoon! I hope that everyone is enjoying the final stretch of summer with family and friends!

It’s hard to believe that the new school year is about to begin. Our teachers, faculty, and staff reported back yesterday, and we are all enthusiastic about what The Lord has in store for Ben Lippen School during the 2019-2020 school year!

As many of you saw in Mr. Fajardo’s email last week, we are moving the first day of school for the Upper School (grades 6-12) a few days to allow some of the final touches to the new building and renovation to happen before we fully move in and welcome students back. School will start for the Upper School (grades 6-12) on Monday, August 19. We will begin with the normal Monday late start (9:10 a.m.). It will be a full day of school, with school dismissing at 3:15PM.

Please note, the Lower School (grades K-5) will begin as originally planned with a half-day on Wednesday, August 14.

Please find the updated bell schedule attached. Students can also find their class schedules on RenWeb.

The change in the start of school should not affect the calendar moving forward. All holidays and school breaks should remain the same. The New Parent Dinner on Monday, August 12 (starting at 6 p.m.) and the New Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 13 (9-11 a.m.) will go on as planned as well. The only change to the calendar is the first day of school for Upper School.

We hope you all enjoy the few extra summer days and we look forward to seeing everyone when school starts on August 19th. Please be in prayer to the start of school and ask the Lord’s provision over the coming year. Please let us know if there is anything that you need.

GO FALCONS,

Corey Thompson
Middle School Principal
