Daddy Daughter Dance: A huge thank you to our PTF and parents for all you did to make the Daddy Daughter Dance a success. It was a wonderful evening.

 

Grandparents Day Volunteers:  Grandparents Day is fast approaching and we would love to have volunteers to help make this a special day for the grandparents and students.  If you are interested in volunteering, please click on the following link to sign up: Volunteer Signup

 

Grandparents Day:  Grandparents Day is right around the corner. It will be held on Friday, March 10, and will begin at 8:45 a.m in the Performing Arts Center.  A permission/dismissal form with more information will be  in your child’s folder today. Please note that we do need a form back for every child. Students are asked to wear regular campus wear on Grandparents Day. We are looking forward to a wonderful day with the students and their grandparents. March 10 is a half day of school and there will be no after school care on the half day. Please contact the school office at 803-807-4400 with any questions.

 

Parents in Prayer: Don’t forget, Parents in Prayer will be held Tuesday mornings until the end of the year in the PAC (building to the left of the office at SAR) following drop off at 8:15 am, with a hard stop at 9 am.  We hope you will join us! Coffee provided!  If you would like to join but can’t without childcare or would like to receive regular ministry updates please email Stacy Lyons at Lyons.stacy@gmail.com.

 

Technology: Our Technology enrichment classes are in need of empty recyclable small cardboard boxes (cereal, tissue, shoeboxes, etc).  If you have any that you would like to donate, please send them to the office by March 14.

 

Message from our Librarian (Mrs. L):  On Friday, March 24 we will host an AR Seussapalooza Carnival to celebrate those students who have achieved their Accelerated Reader goal and beyond!  If you would like to be part of this special event for our 3rd and 4th graders,  please click on the following link:  Seussapalooza Carnival 

 

Fireflies Reading ProgramBen Lippen Lower School is participating in the Columbia Fireflies Reading Program. Your child will have the opportunity to improve their reading skills and earn a FREE ticket to a Fireflies baseball game. The reading program is from Wednesday, February 1st to Friday, March 10th. Our school’s game date is Sunday, May 7th at 6:05 pm.   Additional tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate of $10 per person.

 

Lost and Found:  Please make sure to check the cart by the school office for any missing jackets and coats. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the clothes closet on March 8.

 

Mother-Son Neon Dodgeball:  Signup forms will be sent home next week for our upcoming mother/son event.  It will be held Saturday, April 1, at the MR campus gymnasium from 6:00-8:00 PM.  It is for all PK3 to 4th grade boys and their mom or special female guest.
