Take Good Care of Yourself: Week 6

The ending of this school year has been much different than we could have ever imagined. I’m sure that at Christmas none of us thought we would finish this school year away from campus. The truth is, none of know what the future holds. What we do know is that God is completely sovereign, infinitely wise, and perfect in love. He is absolutely trustworthy. Thus, we can move into the future with strong confidence in Who holds the future and in humble dependence on Him to meet every need.

This challenging experience of COVID-19 will shape each of us in a variety of ways. One way I hope that it has grown us in the area of taking care of ourselves. This is something that, on some level, we all know we need to do, but often times we are not intentional about it. Or we may not know how to take care of ourselves.

Hopefully, these small tips over the course of many weeks have helped you develop a plan on how to care for yourself. You have received ideas on how you can care for your relationship with the Lord, your relationship with others, your thought life, and your physical well-being. I have used the analogy of a tool box in which you are collecting the right tools to care for yourself.

Today, we are going to recap the ideas I have shared under each category. No doubt, there are countless more ideas, but this is a good starting point. Each has a video explaining it in more detail. Please refer to the Student Care page of BenLippen.com. May this be a resource for you as you move into the future with confidence and humility, trusting in the Lord.

I miss you all and can’t wait to see you in August! Together we will get through this and come out stronger on the other side!
