Coach Tee’Ara Adams Named Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

Ben Lippen Athletics is excited to announce that Coach Tee’Ara Adams… otherwise known as Coach Tee… has been named our Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Tee has 4 years of coaching experience at the high school level. She spent 3 years in Illinois and 1 year at Ben Lippen where she was the Falcons JV Girls basketball coach.

Prior to coming to Ben Lippen, Coach Tee spent 3 years at Belleville West High School in Illinois where she served as the JV Head coach and Assistant Varsity coach. During her first season, the JV girls won a total of 8 games and Varsity won 9 out of 28. The following year, JV went 16-5 and Varsity 16-13. In her final year before moving back to South Carolina, the JV team went undefeated at 21-0.

Coach Tee graduated from The University of South Carolina Upstate with a degree in Sociology and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree from Liberty University in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Crisis Response and Trauma. While at Upstate, Coach Tee was a member of the Women’s Basketball team having received a full athletic scholarship. Coach Tee was awarded the Freshmen of The Year award along with All-Conference honors each year. Coach Tee is the current school leader in 3-pointers made and is a leader in career steals while ranking 3rd in program history in career points. Coach Tee also served as her teams’ representative on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) 2009-2013.

Adams FamilyCoach Tee is originally from Asheville, NC. She graduated from TC Roberson High School where she is currently the all-time leader in points in high school history. Coach Tee’s high school program had a record of 100-18 during her 4 years there.

Coach Tee is married to Antonio Adams, a Columbia, SC, native. They have 3 children, Karter (5 years old) and Karsyn (3 years old), who both attend Ben Lippen and the adorable, future Falcon, Kori Grace (15 months).
