Tell us about your family. My wife, Cassie, and I live in Lexington and have four children: Jonathan, Jayson, Abby-Claire, and Amy. We were missionaries and teachers in Belize before joining Ben Lippen.

What do you like to do in your free time? We go to ‘Lakeside Church’ in Lexington.  We are growing our worship ministry there and will be training musicians and worship leaders during the summer.

I also love learning! I get bored if I am not learning something new, like photography, repairing guitars, building things…!

What is something most people don’t know about you? I played soccer at Nyack College as a forward. I have owned two businesses (Network Engineer Consultant and Wedding Photographer) both while working at Ben Lippen.

What are you passionate about? I love teaching and I love our students! I love helping students realize that they are capable of accomplishing hard tasks. They can win robotic competitions, create apps and games, be proficient at spreadsheets and presentations, and more. It excites me to see students be successful while at Ben Lippen and beyond. I love to see our students get to know more about themselves and Jesus as we do classes together.

Why do you choose to work at Ben Lippen? My wife and I are certain that the Lord called us to Ben Lippen. We are being obedient to that calling specifically. We have planned our lives around that and will be here as long as the Lord wants us to be part of Ben Lippen.

What do students get at Ben Lippen that they won’t get somewhere else? The freedom to grow in faith, character, and knowledge. Also, lots of awesome friends!

What do you love most about BL?  Ben Lippen is a place where God is working in the lives of our administrators, teachers, and students. We as teachers get an opportunity to speak into students’ lives as we point them to Jesus.

What do you love most about teaching technology classes? I love to challenge the minds of young people, to become problem solvers, and to be creators & innovators in areas where they did not think they could succeed.

What do you love most about teaching your students? Relevance! I love that everything that I teach is or will be relevant to our students in the world they are growing into and that they can learn new things and then use that to glorify our God.
