Ben Lippen Stories

Mrs. Sarah Traynum

Teaches: Kindergarten, MR Campus

Mrs. Traynum started at Ben Lippen as one of two fabulous new lower school assistants at our MR campus during the 2018-19 school year. She transitioned to teaching 4th grade in 2020-21 and then to kindergarten in the 2021-22 school year. She also happens to be a Ben Lippen alum! After graduating from BL in 2002, Mrs. Traynum attended the University of South Carolina where she met her wonderful husband, Steven. The couple has been married for 13 years and has been blessed with five sons! Cooper (10), Hudson (9), Sawyer (7), and Sullivan (6) ride the Ben Lippen bus over to the SAR campus each morning and their little brother Rigley joined them in 2020.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I do laundry, but what I enjoy doing in my free time is being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Why do you choose to work at Ben Lippen? I tell my husband all the time what a blessing it is to be part of the Ben Lippen family again! It is so awesome to be able to come back to Ben Lippen, and this time, bring my family with me. Ben Lippen has always felt like home to me, and it still does! It is such a privilege to be able to work with a group of people who love the Lord and radiate Christ on a daily basis. Our family has had a year full of changes and having the opportunity to be at Ben Lippen has been the sweetest blessing!

What are you passionate about? The Lord has given me a heart for children with special needs. At our church, I have had the privilege of working with some of the most amazing families who have children with special needs. These families and their children bless me so much and are such a beautiful part of God’s creation!
