Role: College Admissions Counselor
Tell us about your family. My husband, Steve, and I met as first year teachers and we just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We have three daughters who all attend Ben Lippen. My husband works for Young Life, a high school outreach ministry. Our family’s longest and deepest friendships are with staff and families with whom we have served in the ministry of Young Life over the last 15 years. We have two dogs, both of whom are French Brittanys. Lady Charlie is six years old and last summer, we got Jozy who just turned 1 on May 2.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I love to read. Quarantine has been amazing in terms of helping me get through a huge portion of my “to be read” list. I also spend a good deal of time writing and love taking my dogs for walks.
What do you love most about Ben Lippen? What I love most about Ben Lippen is the sense of community with students, staff/faculty, and families.
What do students get at Ben Lippen that they won’t get somewhere else? I think that at Ben Lippen, students receive attention from teachers and staff who love differently because they love and are loved by Jesus. I also think that the size of the school gives students the opportunity for more individualized learning and care.
What do you love most about your job? I think that what I love most about my job is the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with students. I love being in the classroom and teaching, but being able to spend time with each student individually has been really special.
