With boys in elementary, middle and high school, the Greens are an active Ben Lippen family at both our Monticello Road and St. Andrews Road campuses. After school, you will often see the family at football games and wrestling matches. In fact, J.C., a sophomore, just won an individual state championship title in wrestling last week. We asked Mr. Green recently to share his thoughts and feelings about Ben Lippen.
What do you love about Ben Lippen School? My wife and I love the fact that our children are getting a Christ-centered education.
Why did you choose Ben Lippen School for your children? Our children, my wife, and I felt it was the right place once we visited the campuses and spoke with teachers and parents.
In what ways have you seen your children grow in their faith as a result of their experiences at Ben Lippen School? Prior to coming to Ben Lippen, our children went to church but only because they had to. Now, they want to go and invite their friends to go with them. Our oldest son also accepted Christ after wrestling practice at Ben Lippen one day.
What is the one word that your family would use to describe the Ben Lippen experience? Christian
What would you tell other parents to encourage them to consider enrolling their children at Ben Lippen School? Since moving to Columbia in 2005, our children have been at 4 or 5 different schools because of their ages. Not one of those other schools made me feel like the whole school genuinely cared about our children. There were some teachers or administrators who did care and went above and beyond, but at Ben Lippen, everyone cares.
