Ben Lippen Stories

The Thompson Family

The Thompson family has been at Ben Lippen School for almost ten years…since their oldest daughter, Lily, was in kindergarten. This year, all three of the Thompson girls are in middle school at Ben Lippen and are involved in a wide array of activities that stretch from cheer and sporting clays to choir and mock trial. Both Debbie and Jay are extremely active as parents in the Ben Lippen community. Debbie volunteers in a multitude of ways to help Ben Lippen run more smoothly. She is always willing to lend a hand wherever there is a need. Jay, in addition to being a Ben Lippen School board member, helped start the Ben Lippen Mock Trial team in the middle school last year. The team was so successful that it has expanded into our high school!

We recently asked the Thompsons why they chose Ben Lippen and how our school has made a difference in their lives. Here’s what Jay had to say.

What do you love about Ben Lippen School? We love that our children experience quality academic training from a Biblical worldview.

Why did you choose Ben Lippen School for your children? We chose Ben Lippen School to ensure that our children receive a quality, well-rounded education in which every aspect, from academics to extracurricular activities, is rooted in scriptural principles.

In what ways have you seen your children grow in their faith as a result of their experiences at Ben Lippen School? The worldview they are taught and shown is through the lens of scripture, so they are learning to understand the world and make decisions about all aspects of life based on the guidance of God’s Word.

What is the one word that your family would use to describe the Ben Lippen experience? Biblical Worldview

What would you tell other parents to encourage them to consider enrolling their children at Ben Lippen School? Our children have a well-rounded experience in academics, extracurricular activities, and social activities, all of which reinforce the Biblical worldview we strive to demonstrate to them at home.
